What is Loy White Weekend?

The inaugural Loy White Weekend will take place May 14-16, 2021 at Camp Tekoa Foothills. This is a weekend to honor and celebrate the life of Loy White as well as the supporters of Camp Loy White. Interested individuals/families are invited to stay on-site for the duration of the weekend. The main celebration will be on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 2:00-6:00pm. 

Who can participate?

This event is open to the community! Anyone who knew Loy White or who was involved in the ministry of Camp Loy White is invited to join this celebration. The aim of this event is to honor the past and provide a space for stories, photographs, and memories to be shared! 

Schedule of Events

The event will begin with a worship service at 2:00pm on Saturday. There will be a free hot dog dinner for the community following the worship service. This will be a fluid time to promote unity within guests; there will be a space to formally share stories and photographs. Please bring photos of Loy White or Camp Loy White- copies will be made to preserve the originals. There will be a scheduled adventure program as well as time to enjoy the lake, boats, and hiking trails.

Safety Concerns

Masks and closed toed shoes are required for adventure programming. Masks are required for entrance into buildings. Guests participating in adventure programming need a signed waiver on file.
